Commonly Asked Questions

When is the application due and how do we confirm it has been received?

Completed applications are due on or before Friday, May 13, 2022. Extensions will not be granted. All applications must be submitted electronically by the deadline. Within 72 hours of submitting your application, you will receive an email from ASTRO acknowledging receipt. Please contact us if you have not received an email after 72 hours.

How will grant recipients be selected?

Applications will be reviewed by members of the ASTRO Board of Directors. Selection will be made based on the percentage of the program that is geared toward radiation-related support as well as a proven dedicated effort to reach all demographics of cancer patients in the city/state where your organization is located.

What reporting is required?

Grant winners will be expected to report back to ASTRO twice (May 1 and November 1) for one year about the status of the project, funds spent to date and the impact of the project on the community

What will ASTRO's role be is my program is funded?

Once the grant has been funded, ASTRO will review bi-annual reports by the recipients and will in turn report back to the ASTRO membership and public about the efforts of the programs funded by the Survivor Circle Grants.
