2022 SC Grant Recipients

The Survivor Circle Grant was created as a way for ASTRO to honor cancer survivors and help raise awareness of the support groups who assist the patients ASTRO members treat. Each year ASTRO awards two grants of $10,000 to cancer support organizations in the state that hosts the Annual Meeting.

Breast Cancer Resource Center's (BCRC) mission is to empower those affected by breast cancer with personalized support and compassion. We believe that through education, information and guidance, our clients can be active, knowledgeable participants in their own health care.

BCRC provides patient navigation and support services to any Central Texan with breast cancer. In addition to patient navigation, we conduct 12 monthly support groups, offer limited emergency financial assistance, video resource library, educational forums for medical professionals and clients, a group that encourages healthy lifestyles, transportation, housekeeping and pet sitting while in treatment.

ThriveWell Cancer Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for cancer by funding cancer research, providing patient support and offering programs to improve the quality of life for patients and their families.

ThriveWell was founded in 2007 offering three different programs to those battling cancer in San Antonio and the surrounding areas: Our Patient Assistance Program is focused on providing transportation, lodging and financial assistance to cancer patients. We also fund cutting-edge research happening in San Antonio. Lastly, ThriveWell provides free exercise, nutrition and wellness classes to cancer patients and survivors through our Diva&Dude Program.
