Dealing with the diagnosis of cancer can be difficult and expensive. Below are some financial resources that can be helpful for assisting with treatment and prescription co-payments, insurance issues, fertility preservation and more.

National - Fertility Preservation

LIVESTRONG Fertility is dedicated to providing reproductive information, resources and financial support to survivors whose cancer and its treatment present risks to their fertility. Visit the LIVESTRONG Fertility Program site or call 1-855-220-7777.


National - General Financial Assistance - ACS

 The  American Cancer Society is an national organization that helps people with cancer. The ACS site provides information on where to find financial assistance and get help dealing with insurance problems. Help is also available through its call center at 1-800-227-2345.


National - General Financial Assistance - CancerCare

 CancerCare is an organization that helps people with cancer find assistance of all kinds, including financial support. It has a fact sheet on seeking financial help available in English and  Spanish to help you get started.


National - General Financial Assistance - PAF

 The Patient Advocate Foundation (PAF) offers a wide variety of financial assistance for cancer patients, including assigning case workers to help patients resolve insurance issues (private and Medicare/Medicaid), navigate insurance appeals and resolve debt problems due to cancer diagnosis. They also maintain a national financial resource directory that helps patients discover resources in their area. For more information, call 1-800-532-5274.


National - Leukemia and Lymphoma

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Co-pay Assistance Program helps patients with radiation treatment co-pays as well as drug co-pays and medical insurance premiums for certain individuals. For more information, call 1-877-557-2672. Additionally, they have a comprehensive database of other financial support resources.
